The Masters

The Masters is a major professional golf tournament held annually at the Augusta National Golf Club in Georgia, USA. Taking place during the first full week of April, it is the first of four major professional golf championships to be played each year. Originally started by Clifford Roberts and Bobby Jones in 1934, the tournament comprises four rounds of 18 holes with round one play begins on Thursday, round two on Friday, round three on Saturday, and the final round on Sunday. One unique tradition of the Masters is that it awards the winner with a green jacket in addition to prize money.
