Omar Suleiman

The former Egyptian Vice President under Hosni Mubarak, as well as an army general, politician, diplomat, and intelligence officer. He was appointed to be vice president on January 29, 2011, shortly before the fall of the Mubarak regime on February 11, 2011. On that day, the governing body of Egypt became the Armed Forces Supreme Council. Suleiman has recently announced that he will run for president of Egypt and restore order under the old regime. He is expected to be popular with 9% of the Egyptian populace.
